Various scholarships are awarded to deserving students each year. The criteria for RKGITM scholarships are the performance and merit of the students. Apart from this, the socio-economical conditions of the students are also a factor.

• Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities

A student with a domicile certificate of UP and a family income of not more than Rs 2 lakh per annum is eligible.

• Post-matric Intermediate Scholarship for OBC Students

A student with a domicile certificate of UP and a family income of less than Rs 2 lakh per annum is eligible.

• RKGITM has launched programmes fully sponsored by the Govt. of India. AICTE, Govt. of India, has approved the Institute for conducting Skill Development programmes for young students under PMKVY-TI to provide them with better employment opportunities.

With the support of Skill India, an integrated effort will be undertaken to step up-skilling youth under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Before the courses can be conducted, the Govt. of India will select technical institutes based on their capacity and infrastructure. During the last session 2020-21, RKGITM, Ghaziabad, successfully conducted training on 'Android Application'. Approximately 95% of students passed the assessment conducted by the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) for the role of Telecom Terminal Equipment Application Developer (Android Application), confirming to National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) level-4. A certificate of completion was distributed to qualified students on August 2, 2021, and they will soon be placed. The following programmes have been approved for the 2024 academic year.

• For pursuing the Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology and Management B.Tech course, candidates must score 10+2 with science from a recognised board. Admission is based on scores obtained in JEE Main/UPSEE/UPCET exams.
• Class 12 scores are essential for qualifying the eligibility.

• The candidate must clear the 10+2 in any stream from a recognised board for the RKGITM MBA course. They must hold a graduation degree in the relevant discipline with an aggregate score of 50%. The applicants should have a valid CAT score.
• Selection is merit-based, and the qualifying examination scores can act as a tie-breaker. 
• Candidates applying for the B.Tech Lateral programme must hold a diploma in the relevant discipline. Candidates with B.Sc (Bachelor in Science) can also apply for admission.
• Undergraduate and postgraduate courses are entirely entrance-based except for the B.Tech Lateral programme.

• RKGITM B.Tech: Students who have appeared for JEE Main/UPCET/UPSEE 2023 or other state-level entrance exams can apply for B.Tech admissions. 
• RKGITM MBA: Students who have appeared for CAT 2022 or other state-level entrance exams can apply for Master of Business Administration admissions.

• Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) Lab The Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India has approved the establishment of IEDC-RKGITM from the session 2015-to 2016 for five years. This centre has a good lab, where the students work on their projects. This would encourage the students to become entrepreneurs after completion of the RKGITM B.Tech programme.

Student Cells:

• The Grievance Redressal Cell was constituted to probe into the student grievances. The Grievance Redressal Cell attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students, whatever the nature of the problem. The grievance Redressal cell of the institute having provision of teaching staff has its members and director as the chairman. The cell is having the provision of being reconstituted every year if the situation arises for so by the director himself along with suggestions sought from the in-charge administrative body, and care is taken to select staff members from each stream.
